About Vito

VITO PALMIERI Obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree from St. John's University in 1986 and his Juris Doctor Degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Huntington in 1989. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the United States District Court of the Eastern and Southern District's of New York.

Mr. Palmieri began his career as an intern with The Queens County District Attorney's Office in 1988. He then served as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney from 1989 - 1992. Upon leaving the Nassau County District Attorney's office, he established the Firm of Fiscella & Palmieri, PC, in Melville, New York. The practice concentrated in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, personal injury, real estate, corporate law and trusts and estates. In November 1995, Mr. Palmieri, began practicing as a solo practitioner and in January 1996, he moved his office to 114 Old Country Road, Mineola New York directly across the street from the Nassau County Criminal Court. In 1997 Mr. Palmieri founded along with Mr. Castiglione the firm of  Palmieri & Castiglione LLP and its successor firm Palmieri, Castiglione & Associates. The firm has maintained it's offices in its current location at 250 Mineola Blvd., Mineola, New York, since April 2004. In 2019 Mr. Palmieri founded the current firm Palmieri Law PC.

 

Mr. Palmieri has been awarded a Certificate of Merit for lecturing on Criminal Law before his fellow members of the Bar. As an experienced trial lawyer, he has successfully tried both criminal and civil cases to verdict in both State and Federal Courts. In 2003, while engaged in a seven- month mortgage fraud trial in Supreme Court Suffolk County, Mr. Palmieri simultaneously tried a sex abuse case in Nassau County. The results were a jury acquittal for his client in Nassau County and a trial order of dismissal by the Court for his client in Suffolk County. 

 

Mr. Palmieri is a former President and officer of the Nassau County Criminal Courts Bar Association and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association and New York State Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Former Assistant District Attorney's Association. 

 

Mr. Palmieri's diverse array of clients has resulted in a broad range of litigation and legal experience.  Among the prominent areas of law that he has practiced in are Federal and State contract disputes, Federal and State Criminal matters, Federal Erisa Collection matters, Federal Civil Rights and Sexual Harassment claims, Municipal Claims, Zoning and Planning Board representation, School Board claims, Construction Law Arbitration and Mediation on the Federal, State and local level. Mr. Palmieri has also been successfully involved in complex construction law, partnership and business litigation in both the civil and criminal arenas against such noteworthy adversaries as the US Attorneys Office, State Attorney Generals Office, New York Life Sanus Group, TransMedia, Signature Card, GE Financial, Exxon, Sunoco, Gilbane and LendLease, to name a few. 

 

Mr. Palmieri has also handled thousands of real estate closings, leases and numerous business transactions. His widespread civic activity and leadership has earned him the honor of being named to the National Register of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals. He was also honored as "Man of The Year" by The Son's and Daughter's of Italy. Mr. Palmieri has donated his time as a member and Special Counsel to the Board of Directors for the Glen Cove Jr. Football Program and the Denis Dillon Cornerman Foundation.  He also donates his time and efforts as a committee person to the Long Island branch of the Diabetes Research Institute to help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.  He is married and resides in Nassau County with his wife and three children.

About Melissa

MELISSA M. SALSONE received her Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Adelphi University Gordon F. Derner Institute. Ms. Salsone would later earn her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where she won a CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2014.

Ms. Salsone has litigated successfully many serious criminal cases dealing with sex offenses, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated offenses, domestic violence, drug offenses, possessing and promoting child sexual abuse material, counterfeiting, burglary, robbery, grand larceny, extortion, and many more.

As a former Assistant District Attorney, she has tried dozens of cases and presented hundreds of cases to the Grand Jury over the course of seven years. Ms. Salsone leverages her in-depth knowledge of how the prosecution works to zealously represent her clients. As an ADA, she lectured new police cadets on topics such as courtroom testimony and driving while intoxicated. Melissa has worked extensively with various police departments in Nassau County and is familiar with police and prosecutor tactics and procedures. She received police training on standardized field sobriety tests (SFSTs) and accident reconstruction, as well as training as a forensic interviewer.

Early in her career, Ms. Salsone served as an Associate Attorney for two local law firms, taking on real estate, insurance, and civil cases.  

​

Ms. Salsone is a member of the Christian Legal Society, Columbian Lawyer’s Association, and Nassau County Bar Association.  Melissa has also volunteered with Open Hands Legal Services, Christian Legal Society, and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

​

Ms. Salsone joined Palmieri Law, P.C. in 2022 as a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney in both Criminal and Civil Litigation areas of the practice.  In addition, Melissa brings her years of experience to the numerous other areas of law that the firm services including but not limited to real estate, commercial and business transactions, and litigation.

DANIEL AMODIO, Esq.

About Daniel

DANIEL AMODIO received his Bachelor of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2012 and his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 2016. He is admitted to practice law in the state of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

 

Mr. Amodio specializes in the acquisition, financing, and disposition of commercial real estate assets. To date, Mr. Amodio has assisted in the procurement of over $100M worth of real estate across the United States and has managed a 2M square foot portfolio of commercial office and retail assets.

Mr. Amodio joined Palmieri Law, PC, in 2019 as Of Counsel to assist on real estate transactions and advisory services, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well as the related financing and transfer of title.

About Darlene

DARLENE JIMENEZ is the firm’s managing Paralegal and has been with the firm for twenty-five (25) years.  Her areas of concentration and expertise is Real Estate, both residential and commercial, and banking.  She also handles corporate purchases, commercial and corporate litigation, Probate Law and Estate Administration along with the daily management of the firm.  Ms. Jimenez understands the stressful nature of real estate transactions and/or court proceedings and makes it her priority to communicate with our clients through each step of the transaction and/or case matter.  Her strong client management skills have led to decades of solid professional relationships.  Her many years of experience and loyalty have made her a critical asset to this firm.
